I created the illustrations for Wood Duck Swamp by Betsy Saunders, a lovely nature walk in picture-book form! This was such a fun book for me, as a lover of walks in the woods. It was a joy to render some of my favorite birds in all their natural charm. The book includes some facts about each bird that appears, as well as a delightful seek-and-find element as you search for the wood duck on every page.
I sketched each image in pencil before finishing the colored paintings in Photoshop.
