I had the pleasure of illustrating another book for author Greg Slomba, this time a book of poems and short stories for all ages. The best part about this project was the variety of characters I got to work on! Human and animal, young and old, and with some Christmas flavor to boot.
For this book I created both the cover image and interior illustrations for the short stories. For the story illustrations, we wanted to preserve more of the pencil texture of the drawings in the final pieces. I worked with my layers more transparent than usual in my digital paintings, so that the sketchy texture would be visible in the final product and give a richer, more traditional feel to the digital illustrations.
