Ever get a really surreal idea in your head you can't shake until you put it on paper? The image of a swirly cat in a bowl, and the juxtaposition of cat and hand mixer, both struck me as incredibly funny (OBLIGATORY WARNING: DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME— EVEN ADDING CREAM OF TARTAR WILL NOT RESULT IN STIFF KITTY PEAKS). This is a vector drawing produced in Adobe Illustrator, with the exception of the cat in the final panel, which was hand-drawn in Procreate for the iPad. I wanted an organic texture for the gag panel, the better to contrast with the smooth vector illustrations preceding it. Now who wants kitty meringue?
