Exploring Sappi’s Paper Trail.

Sappi Corporate Map is a recent commission. It is a schematic of the Sappi Corporation’s structure and business model. It was to provide a bird’s-eye view of the entire business with its component parts. The company required a particular style of illustration. The illustration was constrained to a certain colour pallet and a particular approach, namely a simple, stylised isometric look and feel.
This project was close to my heart! I lived in the South African Eastern Transvaal for a time in my youth. I travelled past the Sappi Ngodwana Plant there very frequently. ( To & from my childhood home. ) This project reminded me of a wonderful time in my life and the beauty of the South Africa Mpumalanga region. I must return there soon! 😀
